With nearly 30 people involved directly (working, volunteering or on the board) with Seven Men and its subsidiaries since launch, the team has been dynamic. There are currently three people involved:
Duncan McFadzean (CEO, Founder, Director)
Duncan is currently working part-time for Espirito Santo Investment Bank in investment banking, focusing on debt restructuring in Scotland, technology company growth capital and mergers & acquisitions advisory. He is the director of a fast-growing Enterprise Software business delivering mission critical software for tablets for Police & Fire sectors globally and also has worked in £100m+ commercial property, hotels and housebuilding joint ventures for HBOS as a private equity investment management director. Prior to this he worked for Merrill Lynch, the US Investment Bank as a technology equity analyst, for a FTSE 100 company in a dotcom startup incubator and for a leading global top 10 hedge fund also. His original career was 10 years in equity analysis, looking at over 3000 publicly quoted companies across Europe and also outside of Europe on occasion. He got to meet with very interesting leading CEOs and CFOs from these companies regularly. As aprt of this he travelled extensively around Europe, US and Japan.
Kathy McFadzean (Director, Non Executive)
Kathy has a 15 year career in IT with multi-nationals in FMCG and Investment Banking. She has led teams of up to 90 people, had responsibility for budgets >£10m annually, been responsible for national and global IT Service delivery. She left Heineken UK in 2011 to pursue a range of projects including the Inter:Act year, volunteering with Happy Hens and launching Project 1. She is married to Duncan and loves problem solving, team development and knitting.
John Grant (Chairman, Non Executive Director)
John has been involved with Seven Men since the launch, acting as a wise sounding board and helping with useful suggestions and questions and connections. He adds great value through this.
